Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dryft ("Dryft," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use dryft.rent and our lease relet services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, pay, submit a listing, or contact us, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • Details about your lease and unit, such as the property, rent, lease dates, and move-out date
  • Listing details, photos, and a copy of your lease if you upload one
  • Feedback, testimonials, and an optional headshot if you submit them (we publish a testimonial or headshot only with your consent)
  • The contents of calls, text messages, and emails you exchange with us
  • If you are looking for a place to live, the contact and housing preferences you submit through our forms

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive limited information from Stripe, such as the amount paid, payment status, and the last digits of your card.

Information collected automatically. We and our analytics and advertising partners collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and how you interact with the Service using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. If you arrive from an ad, we record the campaign details in the link (such as UTM parameters and Google or Facebook click IDs) so we know which ads work.

Public information from Facebook. To find people looking to leave or take over a lease, our tools review public posts in Facebook groups. We may save the content of a public post and the name on the post's profile, and we may contact the author by comment or direct message. We use this only to offer our Service, and we delete it or stop contacting you on request.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide the Service: price your lease, market your unit, find and vet a replacement tenant, and coordinate with the property manager
  • To process payments, installments, and refunds
  • To contact you about your account, listing, or inquiry by email, call, or text message
  • To advertise Dryft and measure which ads and channels bring customers
  • To publish your listing on Dryft and in third-party channels such as Facebook groups (see Section 3)
  • To improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Service, and to prevent fraud
  • To comply with legal obligations

We may use automated tools, including AI-based tools, to help draft messages, classify inquiries, and match leases with prospective tenants. Messages are sent under Dryft's name, and our team reviews and is responsible for how this information is used.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Listings. When you list a unit, we publish its details and photos so prospective tenants can find it. Your name, phone number, and email are not shown on public listings.
  • Prospective tenants and property managers. To complete a relet, we share the information needed with the incoming tenant and the property's management company, such as your name, unit, and lease details.
  • Service providers that process data on our behalf, including Stripe (payments), Google Cloud (hosting and file storage), Quo (phone and text messaging), Microsoft Outlook (email), and Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (analytics).
  • Advertising platforms. The Meta Pixel and Google tags send information about your visits and actions on our site (for example, that you requested a quote or completed a purchase) to Meta and Google so we can measure and optimize ads. These companies may use that data under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal and safety. To comply with law or legal process, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Dryft, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If Dryft is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, advertising measurement, and to remember things like a referral code. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the Service work. Dryft does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

5. Text Messages and Calls

If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your quote, listing, and account. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a text to opt out of texts; we will still contact you as needed about active payments or engagements by other means. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. We then delete it or remove identifying details. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to remove your listing, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live (for example, Arizona or California), you may have additional rights under state privacy law, including the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money, though the advertising pixels described above may be treated as "sharing" under some state laws; you can opt out by blocking cookies or by contacting us. To make a request, email us at support@dryft.rent. We may need to verify your identity first. We may keep some information we are required to keep by law, such as payment records.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to third-party sites, such as property manager sites and Facebook. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
